Isle of Man Residents
Changes in the Regulations
Residents of the
Isle of Man holding a Isle of Man Government Provisional
Licence, and who have passed their Theory Test in the Isle of
Man are no longer able to apply for a Driving Test in
Mainland UK.
Candidates who are Residents in the
isle of Man and have a UK current Address can apply to take both
Theory & Practical Tests in the UK, providing they apply for a
UK Provisional Driving Licence and pass again their theory test
in UK. You can apply directly with the D V L A, or get the forms
at the Royal Mail Post Office. On receipt of a large Self
Address Stamped Envelope I will be pleased to send you an
Application for same.
You can also apply for your UK
Provisional Driving Licence clicking the link below
Candidates having
a current UK Address holding a full Isle of Man Driving
Licence can apply for a Driving Test in UK providing they
send their Isle of Man licence together with the
D 9 Form,
also available at any Post Office. This will allow you to obtain
the British Counterpart Driving Licence necessary to apply for
your Driving Test in UK.
We will be
pleased to offer you both or either our Residential Theory or
Driving Course. The High Standards of our Courses should insure
the necessary experience, skills and confidence required to
enable you to sit your Tests either in UK or The Isle of Man.
